Journeyman Imagery Analyst (3+ yrs experience), McLean VA

Clearance Level - TS/SCI  (must possess or be able to obtain)

Job Description:

Mission-focused Imagery Analyst to provide Imagery Analysis services as described below. Perform imagery research and analysis by researching current and historical hardcopy and softcopy imagery, which may include researching appropriate databases for amplifying information and producing standard imagery analysis products. This effort will require regular collaboration with imagery and geospatial analysts and other intelligence officers.

Obtains hardcopy, softcopy, and commercial imagery-related products in response to customer needs. Utilizes available imagery, multi-INT, and other source customer data stores to exploit, identify, monitor, and analyze existing and emerging trends, dynamic events, and solve intelligence problems. Assist in the development of innovative solutions to today's analytic hurdles. Utilizes the full suite of imagery analysis tools and geospatial information systems. Using analytic and geospatial techniques, produces finished, imagery-derived, intelligence products, reports and assessments.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
Imagery analysis experience in the Intelligence Community at the national level. Attended either the Geospatial Intelligence Training Program or military equivalent. Knowledge of soft copy exploitation functionalities. Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of REMOTE VIEW, IEC, NES, ARCGIS, and common office software to include PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, word processing. Knowledge of the intelligence collection process. Knowledgeable of multi-spectral imagery exploitation. Ability to work in a very dynamic and demanding work environment.

  • Imagery analysis experience in the Intelligence Community at the national level.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

Proficiency using MS Office, Windows, and knowledge of programming languages such as IDL, R, Python. Familiarity with commercial and civil data sources, integration of resulting data into ArcGIS.
